I've got a small DukeMatch level I created that I play via modem that always give an out of sync error but is still playable. Also, the opposing player is quite often invisible (He's there but can't see him).
Any help or suggestions?
Using mapster and D3D 1.3D

If you are playing and it goes out of sync, its NOT playable! If you go to some other part of the map I'm positive you would find him. (Unless he's dead) If it goes out of sync it means that both computers are reading different parts of the map and you aren't "on the same page." So just restart and all your problems will be fixed.

When we restart, the level is always out of sync, every time! This is only happening with the level I designed. I can play DM's I've downloaded just fine. My opponent is invisible because we use text messages and go to the same place in the map and he cannot see me either! THe level is a small one and does NOT have too many unique sprites, too many sectors, etc. I am not a pro mapper but I' not a newbie either. This one has me stumped!

Well most likely one of you has modifies something with duke and it's not the same for both parties. I suggest you back up any maps/tiles/etc you have and reinstall duke. (Both of you) If that doesn't work then try sending him the map again. The reason he goes to the same spot as you do and you don't see him is because he is out of sync on your part and is probably stuck on a wall in some other area of the map. http://www.3drealms.com/ubb/images/icons/wink.gif Like I said, it's not playable if it is out of sync, so you don't move the same to each other as you do on your own computer.
