Anyone know of free ebooks or *offline* Javascript manuals/tutorials? I've been looking around, I did find a few but hit me with your suggestions if you have any.
I'm thinking of writing an interactive text-adventure story that can be burned to CD and have some ideas like maybe you can pick certain items and it'll remember throughout the story... except you'd have to do this 'game' in one session essentially, since there wouldn't be cookies. I could probably learn how to do that in PHP but that requires a server :|
At the very least it'll just be an interactive story with simple choices and no javascript needed, but I have ideas.
