I just saw this at Gamespot and figured I might as well post it here. They have some info and screens up for a new Duke game for the cell phone...

It's supposed to be a port of the Zodiac Tapwave game with some improved graphics. Personally, I'm not interested in cell phone gaming (since I don't own one), but I have to admit, it looks pretty cool. Take a look at some of the small ass screen shots...

Hrmm, I didn't notice that before. But it does look like the MP Pig cop. I would'nt be surprised if it was.

I saw and add on TV featuring the Duke Nukem game to download onto your mobile. But, it looked more like a sidescroller, not like the screenshots you posted. Maybe it was a different one? http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I'm not really that interested in it though because my mobile can't download and play those games but it is cool that Duke Nukem is still alive and kicking - if he does kick in his mobile game(s) that is? http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Cool. That pigcop looks wicked! I might have to pick up a cell phone game to play this.

It's most definitely legal. It's not open source, not built on the DUke3D source release, if that's what you're getting at.

How many Duke mobile games are there and where can I buy them? Are they only avalable as downloads, or do they come on carts or something like that?

There's only one Duke game like this that I can remember right now, and it's the Zodiac Tapwave game.

I wonder if it will run on a high end Palm PDA, since that's essentially what the Tapwave is, it's built on the Palm OS (I shoudl know, I beta tested this game and the Tapwave).

Oh, it only runs on Palm? I thought I saw somewhere that it could run on Pocket PC/Windows Mobile 200X as well. That could've been something else, not too sure, tho.

Wow, very nice Mobile version of Duke 3D if you ask me. Just wish that it would have a small version of Build in there, tho. Is this available for Windows Mobile or what's the operating system that this runs on?

Hmmm... they won't ship the game to Norway. Could any of you buy it from them and then ship it to me? I'd really appreciate it http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Edit - I saw another 2D mobile Duke game as well. Does anyone know where to get that game? I NEED these two games!

I was over on gamespot and I saw that Duke Nukem Mobile 3d will be released this summer. It looks like it will be a great game, what do you think?

It will have the option to turn on/off 3d enemies, have tons more gameplay added to the areas, and have more enemies.

This is basically the Zodiac Tapwave version of Duke3D ported to higher end cel phones. It's not a "new" game in that regard.
