For your random starting places, just set a few variables for the actors x, y, and z coordinates. Then use the oldschool ifrnd command to randomly determine which group of xyz coords to use.
I replied concerning your "clothes" idea. You can use variables to determine whether you've acuired the clothes, and make the enemies behave based on those variables. Could do the same for user-made switches or SEs for door access as well. 2.1 ought to let you put icons on the screen to show which clothes you've picked up.
I think I had another suggestion, but I don't recall what your four or five main points were in your original post.

Oh yeah the “emperor's clothes” smilies/images/icons/grin.gif Clamour said is to be easy, well not for me.
Anyway here are the basics.
<LI>(This is re-posted for item two!) “Emperors clothes” In all my four maps you can go through with violence and brute force, if you find all the secrets. Or if you want with some cunning. Instead of killing every thing in sight, just assassin one "lonely" a security guard asleep, and use his clothing and accessories to get into the building or area. So having the closing from the security guard would mean you get into secured areas. Having the closing and make-up of a body guard will give get you very close to the main enemy (Boss) and the priced RailGun. (End of first map) One hit and the Boss is "erased".
<LI>"Silence" Enemy shooting without a silencer should wake up or alert (respan?) many guards, body guards and even the Boss within a certain radius. (Again I hope this all possible?) Can enemies be made “noise” sensitive? Can two of my weapons be made silent via a silencer? The HK shot gun and sniper rifle?
The other points were the map functions, which can not be improved upon, based on cyborg’s input; and as for eliminating the mighty kick, it stays for now, it does not interfere with my weapons, I actually got two spare slots.

This conversation is a continuation from E-Duke at Dukeworld. Now as I remember, this is my reply to the posts from mblackwell, clamour and Matteus.
Mblackwell if this code is as stable as I need it than you will be included in the credits.
Now I posted clamour's responses here, yet I do not recall the exact wording. So ...
[Random enemy placements.]
The enemies can not randomly appear. What I like to be able to do is to place the key enemies in one of two or three starting positions. Either spot A, B or C. The only random part is, that the program selects one the three start up positions. This enemy is more or less the boss.
[Girl]
The procedure is as follows, the program places the boss in either spot A, B or C. The girl goes away and comes back. The program that placed the boss should also have a subroutine for the girl’s voice. If Boss is at spot B, the Girl is to say, “Brother Brummer is in the cafeteria.” Or whatever applies. As for why? Any military operation "needs" some sort of intelligence for a successful operation. Since I can not rig the map function, the girl would be my second choice. I like girls, the dancer have been done. So let’s have a good looking smart girl here
Matteus, clad you guys keep going. W00t.
Also Usurper resonded in this thread, but I did not have a chance to read it. So if it helps to find out if my idea could work or not, Usurper please post again.
