AintItCoolNews.com (http://www.aintitcool.com/display.cgi?id=19607) has a couple of links.
Here are some screengrabs from the trailer:

http://img126.exs.cx/img126/7356/rots34bh.th.jpg (http://img126.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img126&image=rots34bh.jpg)
Yeah, this movie is going to rock. The best line in the trailer is delivered by Palpatine: "Are you threatening me, master Jedi?" The barely concealed rage in his voice is chilling!

If your seeing this error, is it likely that our primary database is rebooting due to a crash. We're investigating this problem and should have a resolution in several days. This should be the last of the problems that you will ever see for a long time. ********** also has backup servers at a different host in case servers go down here due to failure and we get stuck waiting days for our current host to configure a new server.
Not that great I guess... http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Still going to watch it, probably will be the best of the 1-3 episodes. Which really isn't that big of an achievement http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
Palpatin was pretty cool though.

It's a Star Wars prequel on overdrive, which means it will do well on a first view in the cinema.
Seems to me that the movie is designed to 'blow' people out of their theatre seats and it arguably contains more than enough bombast to do the trick.
However, the "bigger, faster, more!" adagio is in my view no substitute for the charm and style of the originals.
Also, Hayden Christensen is still more annoying than intimidating and the Mace Windu character still seems to me like Shaft in a robe ("No I'm not threatening you, I'm telling you like it is, you punk ass mothafocka!").

Personally, I think Revenge of the Sith looks terrific. It's epic, dark, and the interpersonal conflict looks to be very dramatic. In my opinion, Attack of the Clones came close to topping The Empire Strikes Back, and Revenge of the Sith is an even stronger contender.
Bring on May 19th!

I think Attack of the Clones was so far from the quality of The Empire Strikes Back that they shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence. It was the worst Star Wars film ever, in my opinion. Revenge of the Sith is looking pretty good, though. It's not going to top any film of the classic trilogy, I think. But it could easily be a lot better than either prequel (and I actually rather liked Phantom Menace).

Man, we all thought the same thing about The Phantom Menace from its trailer too. In fact, TPM had maybe the best trailer ever. I watched that thing over and over, thinking how great the movie was going to be. But, as we know, it pretty much sucked. So, I won't be fooled by this trailer. I have my hopes up for an entertaining couple of hours, but asking for anything more from Lucas is folly. All I know is that the light saber battle between Obi Wan and Anakin better be epic. If he skimps on that...

I thought The Phantom Menace was going to totally kick ass when I first saw the trailer.
I confidently predict that this movie will be more of the same. Lot's of digitally generated backgrounds, more teen angsty acting and no story whatsoever.

Speaking purely of the trailer, I'd say it failed to get me hyped to see the movie. I would have thought they'd at least be able to make the trailer somewhat exciting, but it looks to be the same old.
Whoever edited the trailer did a poor job too, music was bland and darth vadar crossing his arms at the end almost made me laugh. If you want to see how it should be done go see the hulk's international trailer.

I think Attack of the Clones was so far from the quality of The Empire Strikes Back that they shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence.
I took the liberty of adding a slight emphasis on that.
Wow, you guys are really crazy aren't you? I'm one that usually says "everyone has an opinion", but your guys opinions suck, really. Don't mean to get all 12 year old on you guys, but do you guys even like Star Wars, or just dedicated on hating the prequals?
Granted they haven't have the charm of the old movies, but that isn't fair. Those movies already had a head start in all of your psyches, that you determined to hate on anything Lucas releases that doesn't match what you've held so dearly. Anyways, this movie looks great, if not, the trailer does definitely you got to give it that. Maybe if you kept an open mind and watched the movies it would actually be enjoyable.
Seriously, when I read your posts' it all has the same attitude of "Oh the prequals suck so this will to, move along." Come on, you could at least have a conversation or explain why that is so. Attack of the Clones was a great movie. Besides the bad acting parts of Natalie and Hayden, everything else was pretty good and very Star Wars. You can't honestly say the OT had good acting, because it had one of the most exagerrated "high school play" acting I have seen as well as the PT, especially in ROTJ.
That's just my rant. It just gets me riled up when people dismiss things without really giving it a chance, which in this case most of this board seems to hate the PT.

While I agree that better acting from those two would have cleaned it up considerably, there's more to it than that. I think we all could have done without C-3POs droid factory adventure, for example.

The acting in the OT was perfectly fine. There may be a bad moment or two in there, but nobody gives a consistently bad performance. And there are some examples of very good acting, such as Mark Hamil interacting with the Yoda puppet.
Ian McDiarmid's acting was very strong in the originals and the prequels, and I think his increased screen time in Episode III will go a long way toward the film's quality as a whole.

History may repeat and I may see ROTS two or more times on opening day. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Watched that trailer for the first time. Hadn't seen it before. Tried to watch it without paying attention to the leet jokes. It was exactly like the other two : shows special effects and Christensen's lousy acting.
Watched it a second time while reading the leet captions. Tears of laughter ran down my cheeks.

Meh. The l33tsp33k didn't even make me chuckle.
In Attack of the Clones we saw that the Jedi had complete control over the stormtroopers. In the new trailer, the Jedi have somehow utterly lost that control and are being hunted down by them. WTF? Hard to believe that the Republic "stood for over a thousand years" with these guys defending it, huh?
And I won't even get started on why Jedi Masters can repeatedly stand in the same room with Palpatine and not sense how evil he is. Jedi incompetence? Bad writing? Take your pick.
The only thing that could get me to see this movie in the theaters would be an extended torture scene involving Jar-Jar. And I'm talking about a no-holds barred, major-league "passion of the Jar-Jar" type scourging, complete with branding irons and electric prods.
Otherwise, I think I'll wait until I see the DVD in the bargain bin.

Frankly it wouldn't surprise me to see this movie be PG-13. It looks a lot more violent than the other ones, especially since so many of the characters who are to be killed are ones that are developed, making the deaths more important, in turn giving the film a more violent feel.
I love the darker feel the movie looks to have though. This should turn out to be the best of the prequels.

Maybe a psychic (or midi-chlorian http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif) bond between father and son?? Is there even something like this between certain family members in real life??

No, I was responding to Mountain Man's point that "The Dark Side clouds everything" which didn't explain how Luke could sense Vader, who certainly qualifies as a user of the Dark Side of the Force.
The picture is unrelated to my argument and was intended to point out how silly it is to argue about a fictional universe. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Vader was not trying to hide. He wanted Luke to know where he was. It's even possible that he established a deliberate link with his son as a means to lure him out.
