Does anyone know if there's a way to code a page so that when Firefox / Mozilla has their user click on said link that it opens in another tab without the user having to do anything else special?

Don't want that. I want it automatically. Do you know the answer to the original question?

There's something known as the "Firefox developer's kit". I would suggest you have a look at that. And if there's a solution to this problem, it should be with Javascript.

I'll keep an eye out for you. But since tabbed browsing is fairly "new", I doubt there's a way to do this yet...

I haven't had time to try this myself, but you might want to try the suggestion on this (http://www.jroller.com/page/larrywilliams/20050116) page. The author says it works in sidebars, popups and ordinary pages.

A lot of times, "new window" clicks are interpeted by Mozilla/Firefox to open in a new tab. I don't know is this is the default behavior, but it always does that here.

Not in Firefox 1.0.1. New links on these forums open in a new window. The code sample I linked to should allow Joe to force new pages to open in a tab rather than a window. I'll give it a try tomorrow morning if no-one else has tried it before then.
