Hell yeah it would. I was hoping that the camera angle of Diablo would change to the Zelda view. It'd allow for a lot more interaction. That would prolly be the best game ever (behind Starcraft 2 of course http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif).

What I hated was that Diablo II had a "Change View Perspective" button, but all it did was make it a BIT farther away.

I was hoping for different views from the characters perspective.

Add the usual Zelda/Action RPG view, a FPS view, etc.

nah , i think the industry should look deep into their oldschool gamingexperiences , and find out , why today most storydriven games are gameplay wise nowhere NEAR the fun of some of the old classics..

Hate to burst this bubble, it probably won't happen, EA absolved Westwood. One of their head designers defected to Blizzard a few weeks ago. There's some question as to if another Command and Conquer will ever be released.

According to online reports, The Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle-Earth RTS design director Dustin Browder is leaving Electronic Arts to join Blizzard as a senior designer.

Browder has been with Electronic Arts since before the closure of famed real-time strategy developer Westwood Studios, and has worked on games such as Red Alert 2 and Command & Conquer: Generals.

He will leave the company on March 9th and will work at Blizzard’s Irvine, California office under Rob Pardo – who has worked extensively on the WarCraft franchise. Browder has indicated to consumer game site GameSpy that he does not know what game he will be working on at Blizzard, but when asked whether it could be WarCraft IV or StarCraft II, he answered gleefully: "I hope so."

What this means for the future of the Command & Conquer/Red Alert franchise is unclear, with producer Mark Skaggs currently enjoying a leave of absence to spend time with his family, but it seems likely that Electronic Arts would want to continue such a formerly top-selling brand in some form.

Deus Ex... If I remember correctly that was Warren Spector's divison of Ion Storm that did the game...

There's a bit of what actually happened to Ion Storm Austin but Warren was no longer there, and then the branch got shut down and Warren started a new place up and retained his crew from Ion Storm Austin.

So it's up in the hands of ION Storm/Eidos to see what comes of Deus Ex.

Check out Project Snowblind. It was originally the planned sequal, but after DX: IW... they changed it up a little.

It looks a little more action orientated but still interesting. I'm waiting for some word on gamers that have actualy played it.

I've been playing NOLF2 here lately and now I really want a part 3.

Real time pyshics and ragdolling. Imagine louring a gaurd into a closet or something.
