what does the receiver connect to (usb or gameport)?
what does the receiver look like?
why isn't the Logitech Wingman Cordless Rumblepad mentioned in the logitech website?
will it work on steam games?

I need the answer to these questions because I am buying two Logitech Wingman Cordless Rumblepads at costco (they come in pairs for $35 including tax) and I don't know what I am getting from this gamepad since I just took a quick glimpse at them.

I got one.
Very happy with it.

It's got a range of 6 meters and plugs into the USB port.
But get the drivers from the website because the drivers that come with leave something to be desired.

The reciever is a little black rounded rectangle with a little green on the front with the USB cable coming from the back.

There shouldn't be no reason why it shouldn't work with Steam.
I manage to use it with GTA, FIFA 2003 among other games.

The thing that I love with it is that with one sensor you can connect 8 different controllers, and not have them interfere with each other.

If you use the rumble function, if get around 50 hours of life, if you turn it off, you get around 70.

EDIT: You right, they took it off. Why?
I managed to download the drivers quite a while ago.

EDIT: Found it. (http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/support/products/details/CA/EN,CRID=1785,CONTENTID=5302)

more help:

why doesn't the wingman cordless rumble ever rumble, no matter what I do?

is the gamepad wasting energy when it's not used?

Did you turn it on?
Or it could be that some games don't support the rumble feature. Try it with UT 2004.

No, that's the beauty of this controller. If it's not used after a certain amount of time (3 to 5 minutes), it shuts off.
To turn it back on, all you have to do is move the analog stick or press the buttons.

I intalled the drivers and this is what I get on the calabration window:

and this just stays the same, no matter what I do:

and my gamepad is operational on games but does not rumble.
this is the same for my joystick, wich is a wingman as well.

HELP!

Ok.
Do you see the Mode light and the Rumble light turn on when you press Start?
Could it be weak batteries?
See the slider-thingy above the R1 button? Slide it until you get a response.

And the options for the rumble feature never save? Well, that could be due to fact that it "can't detect" it.

I'm going to install this on my PC and get back to you on Monday (i'm not using my PC ATM).

It could be a defective product, but I'll look into it.

Installed the software, and tried it with UT 2004.
Works fine. The only problem I had was the fact on how slow it was to turn left or right, but I guess that's more of a configuration thing.

Strangly, Max Payne 2 can't detect it, but the software has the profile for it.

I'll try it with more games.

Try playing a game without turning on the Wingman Software Profiler.

Tried it out with other games. Seem to be working perfectly. Dunno what your problem could be.
