noob blood spatter question

when you shoot an enemy there is this smallish spray of blood and a blood decal on floor.

I found the red image .jpg for the blood decals but what makes the blood spray red?

Can't make head or tails of particle FX (love the "included" help file - grrrr *LOL*)

Any pointers would be much appreciated - thanks!

Theres a color control in PFX as far as I can remember.

is it background color? Any tuts or help files out there? was MP1 better documented? may need to reinstall arg!

I followed the MP1 ParticleFX tutorial when I did the excessive blood pfx... there were a couple of differences but overall it's pretty easy to figure it out http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
