Good on you.
Well, as you may well know, the new album is just about ready to be released, and Trent has been nice enough to post a video of the band playing live in the studio, of thier (his) new single, "The Hand That Feeds".
Link (http://boss.streamos.com/download/interscope/nin/with_teeth/video/nin_the_hand_that_feeds_hi.mov)
Enjoy! http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
P.S. The clip kicks arse.

Nine Inch Nails became a huge musical influence a couple years ago, that really brought out my ever-present interest in getting into music, and doing something more than just playing my guitar. Since that happened I bought a nice, capable workstation keyboard (which I recently found in Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif), a Powerbook n' stuff and started a project. It didn't work out simply because over the time I found I wasn't in the right mindstate for it, so I have a different project coming up that doesn't require any particular mindstate to write.
Anyway, point being - NIN helped kick off something I've been wanting to do for over half of my life. I've heard "The Hand That Feeds" and while it is catchy, I don't like it as much as the harder NIN music. Hopefully the rest of the album will be something I'll at least grow to like - as The Fragile was like that, and I love that album. But my impression from THTF single is that Trent went mainstream, and alot of mainstream/accessible stuff is boring to me.
I'd still like to see NIN in concert though.

well Ive heard the other new song "the line begins to blur", which isnt so catchy but neither heavy. its still NIN, and thats all i really care about... if i want heavy music, i turn to metal

Thanks for the link, man. NIN rocks! I wish they'd remake the Doom 2 music with instruments.

I thought there'd be more fans than this... oh well.
Man, I really can't wait for this album.

A few songs are ok, but I never went out to buy a CD of theirs, so I say no.

Have to agree with Wamp. I like only a few of thier songs, but nothing enough to buy a whole album.
My best friend Sean lives NiN a lot, and a girl I know almost whorships them.

They're not bad. The main song of theirs that sticks out to me is Sin.

It's also a single... I think NIN are more of an album band, anyway. ie. thier strength is in the album itself and not the individual tracks. What i've heard so far is rather impressive. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

don't worry, there are more fans....i just think they can't be bothered to post a reply to the message http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif like myself lol....but i am posting a reply now http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
anyway i had a listen to the track a while ago and to me it's one of those songs that take a few listens to get used to it.....i'm not saying it's a bad song, i'm just saying that it's not what i expected from nin but then the more i listened to it the more it started to actually sound like a nine inch nails song which is a good thing because i didn't like the fragile all that much because it was like a big departure from the downward spiral (which is still my favourite nin album)
but yeah i consider myself a pretty big nin fan, i've gone to see them a few times, although i'm going to probably skip this tour because i'll be working over the summer to save up for a new computer.
i own all the singles and albums so it'll be nice to carry on with my nin collection http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

The video doesn't seem like anything too special, but the song is great.
I wish Closure was on DVD.

I am a huge fan of industrial music, and while I don't hate NiN I don't love them either. I can listen to them, but I don't go out of my way to http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
I have tickets to see NIN on May 21st.
I love 'em.

I just listened to about 4 streams from the new album.
Trent really took a risk here. I'm not buying it, but that's OK.

I just heard Capital G and wtf is Trent thinking? Singing all weird. Meh. Nothing good since The Fragile.

Year Zero is the first NiN album I've really liked and Capital G is an hilarious song :)

Well check out some of the other songs then before making bold statements.. Year Zero isn't quite The Fragile but it still has some good tracks if you ask me. Zero Sum, In This Twilight, Capital G, Survivalism, The Beginning Of The End,...
