{Darn restricted subject line length.}
Hi there. I'm going to hold this presentation in school and I'd like to spice it up with one video {part of it} from my computer. I don't have a DVD burner but the DVD player in school shows support for CDs.
So would anyone who possesses the knowledge tell me how must I process the video that I'm gonna put in a CD so that I coudl show it in school? Certain file type, cd format settings... this has something to do with that VCD thingymabob?
Thanks.

Well, if you are doing video editing for a VCD or SVCD, might I suggest Video Explosion Deluxe, since this has built-in features for burning your videos directly to a VCD after you place some transitions and effects to your MPEG-1 files. MPEG-2, I believe, is for SVCDs and DVDs, if I'm not mistaken. Of course, Pinnacle Studio 9 SE may do the same thing, but these two programs are quite similar from my experience. This may work with any CD burner as well as DVD burners.
I have yet to transfer a TV Show from my TV Tuner that I'm recording now from my other PC downstairs right now onto a VCD with Pinnacle Studio 7 SE with a CD burner. This PC here has a Dual-Layer DVD +/- RW, so I'm not gonna record anything up here now, but it may work with both types of burners.
I have played VCDs/SVCDs with my family's DVD Recorder/Player, and it seemed to work flawlessly, those and photo CDs, so I see no trouble with using some of these video editing applications, if your PC can handle those. Try out and experiment what works best, for right now, having the correct features, and the best tools both in hardware and software, will get the job done, and Video Explosion Deluxe or PS9 and a CD-RW should do well together, try them out.

http://www.videohelp.com/ - look for vcd and svcd guides, they will tell you exactly how to do what you are asking.

Nero Express just happens to be one of the factory preinstalled packages on my PC, thank you very much! I just felt that Ulead Moviefactory or VED, or PS9 would've been better because it'll let you edit videos and create fancy transitions, and such. (VED = Video Explosion Deluxe, PS9 = Pinnacle Studio 9 SE).

Oh yeah, I see what you mean. Does this mean that you can take that MPEG recording from your TV Tuner and burn that from your hard drive directly onto VCD? I have yet to try that, or to DVD, one or the other. I wonder how much better Nero is from Ulead MovieFactory, tho. I thought those both burned with about equal as far as simplicity, ease of use, and speed contrast with the speed you want to burn it at, from minimum to maximum, something like that.

Yes, that would work.
