This virus has infected my PC since the last 10 months. It affects most of the .exe files. Now, McAfee detects it as Pate.b, TrendMicro detects it as Parite.b and Norton as Pinf something.
Yes, they remove the virus BUT IT COMES BACK AFTER 10 or 15 days and sometimes after 3 days. What should I do? PLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ Help me. AVG AntiVirus, the recommended for a gaming system detects it but cant remove it I dont know why. Thx in advance for help.

1 ) Disable your system restore feature. A lot of viruses infect your save points and they can come back out of nowhere to reinfect a clean system. Only reactivate it once you've done a thorough scan.

2) Enable your firewall

3) Download the latest Windows patches

4) Download these virus scanners (http://www.snapfiles.com/freeware/security/fwavspecial.html) (the first 2, mainly). These particular scanners don't require an install and they get updated regularly.

remove the virus from every "run" folder in register

You can also run your screensaver though Avast antivirus. In your desktop screensaver selection, choose 'avast antivirus' then hit the settings button. From there, you can still choose your favourite screensaver, but it will be running through avast.

This way, it can do a thorough scan of your computer whenever you aren't using it.

I would add that you should ensure the machine's administrator account password gets changed, run your virus scan in safe mode, and stop using an administrator account for your everyday PC use. Only log in with admin privileges when you need to install something.
