View Full Version : Star Wars Kid returns!
Who watched the latest episode of Arrested Development? They took the piss out of the Star Wars kid in it where two of the main characters had their own videos get "leaked" out.

Plus it was also done on Cartoon Network's Venture Brothers.

So Star Wars Kid's popularity has now reached mainstream television http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

How do you know if it was intentional?
Besides, the Star Wars kid has already appeared in the gaming industry, I can't remember what skateboarding game it was but there was a secret area where there was some fat dude in a flat apartment and he did the SW kid dance. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I think it was Tony Hawk.
Poor kid. If anyone goes around in a school and shoots up the place it will be him.

If I was the Star Wars kid I'd be laughing my ass off. Lifes too short to let it bother you. I laugh when I slip on ice, I don't care. Shit happens, half the time it's funny!

Did the Cartoon Network have to pay him?
You know, for "using his likeness" and stuff? http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I think because it's more of a parody that they don't have to.
Takeshi: Definitely intentional, it's kind of obvious.

That's easy for fully developed adults to say, with solid self-esteem and the ability to look at oneself through the eyes of someone else. But in teenage years, you're building yourself, and often still lack the detachment needed to laugh about it. Such experiences can hurt you -- if not totally destroy you.

I'm still a teenager, and if a video of me were on the internet and I were doing something so silly, and I made a bundle of money off it, I'd certainly be laughing...all the way to the bank!

Well, not him. Everybody's different and reacts differently.

Obvious, like how? I seriously doubt this is the first and the only time someone has taped themselves doing something stupid and then have it 'leaked' out...

Am I the only person who thinks that the Star Wars Kid is actually uber-cool? He did some killer lightsaber moves in the video! http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Too bad he couldn't lift his leg above 25 degrees when doing his ninja kicks http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

obvious in the way that anyone who has seen the starwarskid and then the arrested development episode KNOWS what they spoof...
oh and it seems to be a reaccuring gag http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
btw , it is done in a way that its more makeing fund of the "release" situation , not the kid himself , what with the maincharacters son being the one having taped himselff and such..
they actually quite often have that kind of neocultural refferences..

Saw the clip. Terrible parody. The original was ALREADY a parody.
