The petition is for adding some of the content back into the game that was very clearly chopped off (ending, droid planet, etc) close to completion.

http://www.PetitionOnline.com/kotor2/

I know these petition things usely don't do any good, but it will only take a few seconds of your time to fill it out.

So if you are generally unsatisfied with the latter parts of KotOR II (or just waiting for a frikkin patch http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif) please sign it.

Also: Lets not turn this thread into a Lucas/Obsidian flame fest. I am not trying to blame a particular party or anything.

how many of these online petitions have made a difference? As far as I can remember only farscapes petition, and that was signed a huge amount of people. and I'm not even sure it was due that they decided to do the mini-series.

Only thing we can hope for is the game to sell well enough for the publisher to release a directors cut witha 50$ pricetag

The Farscape petition is the only reason the mini-series exsists. This was noted by the creators. (Kick ass mini-series so far)

And you never know as long as the petition reaches its destination it is possible. The developer will relize that, "Hey, people will pay $50 to add some stuff we forgot to a released game!". That is if you get over 10,000 people to sign at least.

Oh, and I signed it.

How long until people stop complaining about online petitions? If you don't like them or don't believe in them, don't sign them.

Obsidian have already stated that they cannot add the content back in as they don't have enough money to do so... and I doubt lucasarts will front it, so a petition is pointless.

I'm not gonna bother with a link, if you're that bothered search it out on the obsidian forums.

Actually I had read that. Along with the statements by the developers once a week that the patch was done and that they aren't sure why LucasArts hadn't released it yet. But you will notice that I even admitted in my original post that petitions usually don't do any good.

I don't think its likely, but I do think it is possible. I just don't understand why people take the time to criticize when it would take less of their time just to sign the petition.

Signing it may not help, but it certainly won't hurt. I love the original KotOR, but I skipped the sequel because it was released in such a deplorable state. If they actually fixed it and released the game the way it should have been, I would definitely consider buying it.

Its worth buying if, say, its in the bargain bin. It was pretty fun.

Its just that it was obviously not playtested enough and that some of the game that wasn't very far from completion was just left out and the remaining bits around those parts weren't properly polished (thusing making the cut all the worse).

Huh....I have kotorII on Xbox. Never had any trouble with it...never knew it wasn't "complete." Never heard of any of this shit before.

That said, I like the sequel better than the first.
