I got 2 Windows XP computers here.
On one of them I share the C:data folder. On the other I have mapped to that folder as the G drive.

For some reason, suddenly my PC reports a full G drive, while on the other PC I got 28 Gb of free hard drive space.

Does anyone have a suggestion how to solve this?

Perhaps your trying to save data to the G drive when you dont have write permissions?

Nope, that is not it. I got full permissions.

Did you empty your Recycle Bin?

Yes, recycle bin is empty.
There really is 28 Gb free on the disk, WHen I work on the PC which contains the C:\Data folder, I can write there whatever I want.

Could you break down your hardware for us? http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

(i.e. "Computer A has 2 hard drives. The first physical drive has 120 gigs and is unpartitioned. The second drive has 40 gigs and is unpartitioned. Computer B has 1 200 gig drive, partitioned into a 140 gig C: drive and a 60 Gig D: drive. Both computers share the C: drive on computer 2")

Run Scandisk. With the option to look for bad sectors.

You might also want to check and make sure your cables are set properly. I just recently ran into this issue myself.

Both computer have 40 Gb hard drive with single C partition.
Both have all patches.
Scandisk has run also OK.

Joe, What about the cables?

I solved the problem. On the remote PC there was Software running which went looping and using all CPU available from startup.

The software was Compaq Keyboard related stuff.
