Who is he, is he duke's dad or something? He seems to own the mule, and at the end of the E3 2001 vid, he says "You think them sunglasses make you look cool or somethin?"

His name is Gus, he owns the mine Duke has to travel through. That's about it. Assuming he's still even in the game.

However, it could set up a plot for revenge but that's Wang territory. And one thing I don't want DNF going into is Wang territory except for a cameo appearance of Wang himself if he's up for it.
