The screenshots aren't very impressive. The city environment looks like GTA 3.

As in your machine will render every polygon for the game environment and characters, rather than playing a pre-rendered movie where you can't control the camera.

I'll buy that, since the graphics don't look that great.
By the way, I don't think a lot of people will be happy with the size of those pics, I'm on 1600x1200 and it's still stretching the thread like a 100 pound baby
Never watched that show. What's it like?

Uhh no, the whole premise of 24 is that the entire season represents only 24 hours in a day. If what he says is true 1 hour of play time = 1/24 of the game.

That sounds about right considering HL2 only took me around 12-13 hours to finish and D3 took me around 20-ish.... 24 hours sounds a decent amount of playing time.....
[EDIT]
Oh yeah, do they really have signs like that? "Financial District" Pretty handy in games...

Sounds interesting and looks quite good. They got Jack looking pretty good there but the cars in the city look like a PS1 game.

It'll be interesting to see how they deal with players spending longer than they should on certain elements, but I have a feeling they'll probably take the easy way out and make a collection of mini-games or something that you cant spend longer than necissary on. (Or time-limit missions).
Either way, if they cant get their main character to look decent holding a gun in a goddamned promotional shot, I'm holding no hope for the rest of the game.

Dude, ever hear of linking to screenshots? Putting a big
ass image in your post screws up formatting and makes
trying to read the thread very inconvenient.

Yeah, I figured. It was kind of misleading because he was talking about how cool the screenshot look.

My guess is: They will probably ignore timing at all and only show the recent time that's supposed to be when necessary - so you just think it's realtime. The series was't so realtime, either ... only almost because diferent countries have different amounts and length of commercial brakes http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Anyways - Max Payne never really helt the gun correctly and the game sill rocked hard. That means nothing.

Yeah, the graphics look crappy, but I think the story's got potential. The finale of Season 2 freaking needs a better explanation than the @#$#ing writers wimped out and threw together something that doesn't make any sense.

I think the graphics arn't grade because of large levels.

WHen they mean that is't exclusive to PS2 does that mean, that it will come out first on PS2 and then come out on PC later??? Or does that mean those of us with PC's once again have to Miss out.

It's being developed by SCEE so PC owners are OWN3D!

Answer me this: for those of us who DON'T have Playstation 2's, would you buy one just to play 24: The Game?
I won't. Heck, say it to yourself "24: The Game". What a crappy title, how about just calling it..."24"! Radical idea or what?
As for the graphics, the character models all look like they've been under the "reduce the polygons automatically" program too much. Just look at Kiefer (jaw) Sutherland? Big hint there folks. Reiko looks less of a woman and more an anorexic...thing, the vehicles look as if they're straight from Driver 1 without any shading, the video shows the characters without shadows, the levels themselves look sparse and blocky...whilst I run through the levels of MP2 with all the visuals set to max and 3D audio on etc etc...feels more what a game set in the 24 universe should be...
Just another mistake I've spotted, being a fanatic of the series I'll notice these things...and that is? The timer is wrong. The colons are the same overall height as the numbers plus the fact there isn't so much spacing as present in THAT screenshot.
Seen that subway screenshot? Kinda reminds me of a cross between the Duke Nukem: Time To Kill subway level, Photoshop and Max Payne 1's subway level (minus detail, excellent lighting and shadows and much much more)...
Regards,
Yickle.

Bugger that fact that it's not coming for PC... It's the PRINCIPLE OF THE MATTER....
PC Fans were screwed when Everything or Nothing DIDN'T come out for PC, and Driver Fans had to wait more than a Year for it to come to PC (even though it sucks - but that isn't the point). AND NOW THIS?????
