PS2 and a few games for 75 dollars?

I got offered this deal, no controller though, the games are like ratchet and clank and tony hawks pro skater and maybe a few others.

What do you guys think?

Why isn't there a controller? Are the necessary cables present? How old is the PS2, and is it fully functional with no problems? A lot of older PS2s seem to tend to die, so you'll definitely want to make sure someone isn't trying to pawn off a broken unit and a bunch of shitty games they don't want anymore on you.

Best thing to do is check that it plays both CDR and DVDR games. It's a common thing for the laser to stop reading one or the other. Also try a DVD movie and skip backwards and forwards with the chapters etc. If it doesn't skip and picks up each section quickly then it's probably ok. A lot of problems can also be cured by a quick clean of the laser eye and the rubber spool grip inside. These things always get gunked up and cause the disc to slip.

Bargain at $75. That's about £35. I probably couldn't get that deal over here for less than £70 Everything is way cheap in America. Must be something to do with the crumbling dollar the 7 trillion dollar deficit and the super duper exchange rate. i'm getting it from my boss whom I trust, also, he threw in a socom 1 game and headset and brought the price down to 60.


I think i'm going to go with this deal.

He said the controller is broken, Dunno what the deal there is, he's including SOCOM 1, SOCOM 2, R&C, ATV3, and he haggled me back to 75 for it and those 4 games.


I think this is still a pretty good deal.

It's a wonderful deal if it includes the Socom games.

That is, if you use broadband with the PS2.
