I started playing it when Worms 2 came out and I enjoyed it, and still am playing it, and loved the Worms 3D game.

This game is a must for me! http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/love.gif

Eh, looks like the last 2 3d worms games. Good art style but they just haven't worked out how to make the gameplay work in 3d.

I hope they fix the limited level sizes...worms 3d (or at least the ps2 version) had very small play areas....and the randomizer would always crank out cliff-oriented levels which suck hard.

I might watch this and then buy it for the PC if its any good http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

The article is dated for the 24th of March...therefore, it's not an April Fools joke.....talk about paranoid...

Do the french even celebrate April Fools? http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Well that site (www.jeuxvideo.com) is from France I believe, and yes they celebrate it too. It's called Poisson D'Avril.

And that article wasn't a joke. The game looks sweet! http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/love.gif

indeed, and I hope they have a more 'accurate' system concerning the destruction of scenery.

The destruction should just look good http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

You'll be happy to know, then, that the land system has been improved. Levels still can't be manually edited, but, you really shouldn't need to anymore. They now use a hybrid of poxels (Team17's invention to deal with full 3d destruction) and a heightmap (don't ask, I don't know what it is, but it's explained at their forums). Levels can be made larger, both vertically and horizontally. Land is also easier to patch together into one continuous strip, instead of having various blocks of land floating apart from each other.

If you want to know just about everything that's been released to the public so far, I suggest you visit their forums (they will require registration to even view threads):

http://forums.team17.com/

Also note, there will be, not one, but two demos released. One should be released within a months time, showcasing the single player modes and customizablity. A second one, released +- 1 week from the time that it hits UK store shelves, will be online enabled. So, now you'll be able to test whether the online system works to your liking (or at least better than the previous two iterations).

But, unfortunately, there's no solid news on a stateside release... yet...
