About GOTY

If MP wins Game of The Year, will remedy make a Max Payne: GOTY edition? It could have new levels or just a few mods...

Being the GOTY is a great honor, but I've never seen what's so great about GOTY editions of games. It's still the same game with a few extra additions, and those few additions alone aren't worth the price, IMO.

The idea behind GOTY edition is to boost those sales that may have fallen off since the game's debut a half year ago.. It also gives the chance of making an up to date copy with some mods to attract customers with slower modems who have the first copy.

Basically, this is to call out to the nonbelievers who thought the game wasn't worth their time the first time around. This gives them a second chance to make that all-important purchase, and make Remedy and 3drealms the money they deserve..
