Why are all the captive women naked?

Is there a certain reason why all the captive women in Duke 3D covered around green slime and stuff naked or barely clothed?

The aliens might have thought that the total combined weight of the clothes of all the women taken captive was great enough that fuel could be saved by transporting the women without clothing (which would make the ship lighter).

Either way the specific absence of clothing from the females doesn't hinder my gameplay in the slightest.

My guess would be none. 3DR has stated they didn't want to put in nudity; that'd push the game into the Adults Only rating. Probably *almost* naked...

I cannot understand why this is so hard for some people to understand.

Duke3d is basically a playable 80's action movie. You play as a musclebound buzzcut psycho with an insane arsenal of weapons who blows the shit out of aliens (who have invaded earth enslaving female humans) while cracking jokes.

I actually thought about this since ya asked - and I'm sure it's a bit far-fetched but let me give it a shot...


If you'll remember, in E1 L2 of Duke3D, when you kill the strippers, an alien teleports out. This only occurs on the ones that have green slime dripping from some extremity (they had been in those mucus incubators).

This also occurs when you kill the chick in the bar.

The women were being taken over by the aliens...
My guess is that this was done to lure in any strong males (ie: Duke) to seduce and kill them. So the sluttier they were, the better. Thus - make them naked, or slutty, or strippers etc. The captive women may also have been used for reproduction by the aliens.

Being naked may also have been recquired for the assimilation process.

my guess would be because it is a reference to the movie body snatcher.. where the alien clones are naked when being created..still it is not related to duke's incubating or something..but is similar in "look" and "feeling"..
