Duke Nukem Mobile

This version has been around for a little while, and I decided to do a search for it so perhaps I could buy it. I really believe buying stuff for your mobile phone is one of the most pathetic things one can do, but hey, for Duke I'd like to make an exception.

I found a site which provided me the screenshots below, and it also had a picture of the original "cover-art". However, this doesn't look remotely like the screenshots on the site here. It looks way better. My guess is the website (www.javamania.nl) is a fraud. But what is the actual source of these screenshots? It does look like it's a real existing version. (perhaps for the pocket PC or something?)

My Phone (K700i) can handle 3D graphics, but besides the standard tennis game I can't find anything 3D on the web. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

You are correct. It is impossible to play a fps on a cell phone.

Who would want to anyway :P ? Small screen, lack of comfortable control, not enough time, cell games are usually for when your bored and have a few minutes to kill.

That's most of the reasons it's not playable.

Well, there ARE fps games out there, like The Infernal Gate and a few other Wolfenstein clones. The K700i comes with a real 3D tennis game with pretty neat graphics. Well...players and the environment actually exist out of polygones, it's not a wannabe 3D game like those classic racing games.

The screenshots don't look like the tapwave version, they have a different resolution and different HUD.

Maybe I'll get a PDA and then I'll definately put Duke3D on it, but I'm kind of trying not to spend hundreds of Euros on useless stuff.

Anyway, my point was that it was Duke, so it had to be on my phone. I never play games.

No this one isn't a fraud, it's a real game. I made a thread about this one a couple months ago. Here's a rundown of all the Duke Mobile games made so far,

Duke Nukem Mobile (http://www.gamespot.com/mobile/action/dukenukemmobile/index.html?q=duke+nukem+mobile): A sidescroller game for the cellphone.

Duke Nukem Mobile (Zodiac) (http://www.gamespot.com/zod/action/dukenukemmobile/index.html?q=duke+nukem+mobile): A FPS game that was made for the Zodiac Tapwave device.

Duke Nukem Mobile 3D (http://www.gamespot.com/mobile/action/dukenukem3d/index.html?q=duke+nukem+mobile): This one is a port of the Zodiac Tapwave game with sharper looking graphics, for the cellphone. Those screenshots came from this game here.

Ok that looks pretty cool but why does it only work on Alltel and Verizon phones? I just got my FIRST cellphone finally last week, but I have Cingular.

Remember, the Cell phone sidescroller (and maybe the 3d Cell phone version as well) is just run on JAVA, so it may work on more phones than you think.
For example My phone isn't on the list of compatables but it works fine for me...

I have Duke Mobile on my SE S700i, so there is no reason why you shouldnt get it to work on the K700!

Ya but there saying there is to 3D Duke games. One for the Tapwave and one for phones.

Oh and, "Skyzone mobile page for Duke Mobile Cel Version" is no longer there.
