Hello again. I just installed a new motherboard and ram. Working great... except when trying to boot Windows from the master drive, a quick BSoD flash and then a reboot. I suspect this is a driver conflict... I'm not ready to format yet as I have things to backup, so any ideas how to install drivers without going to Windows...

... I'm using the very computer now, though, running the OS from CD and using ram and virtual drive, and some odd K-Meleon browser.... so I can not install from here.

And to add: I am in a horribly hurry, I need to print out a few school documents... http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Tends to freak out, unless it was the exact same mainboard. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/redface.gif

What OS from the CD? A Linux boot CD?

BSoDs always freak out. But now I got the correct ones installed and after I format my hard drives in a few days, then there will be no trace of the old drivers and my computer can run at peace (RAP).

A jewel called the Windows Ultimate Boot CD. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Networking, lots of useful diagnostics tools and all access to all hard drives.

The Windows Ultimate Boot CD (http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=0&Board=software&Number=637898&Searchpage=1&Main=637456&Words=ultimate+boot+&topic=&Search=true#Post637898) is an excellent CD to have. Most Linux Live CDs give you read access to NTFS but no write access: you have to use the Linux CD burning tools to save anything. WUBCD gives you write access as well because it builds the ISO image using files from your Windows XP CD.

It's saved my butt a couple of times, so i keep two copies handy. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
