Yes I'll be purchasing the most excellent game Psychonauts asap. PC version since there's no GC. PC version has significantly higher quality media anyway (higherpoly and texture res). I also hope tims beard has a cameo.

Beard beard action beard! Although I guess few people would know what I mean beard.

With Tim Schafer, it's bound to be great!
I mean c'mon, the man was behind games such as Grim Fandango, Full Throttle, and Day of the Tentacle!

\o/ My god I hope it has some of the same humour and atmosphere as my favorite adventure game of all time; Grim Fandango.

Wow, I just read the interview of Tim Schafer.

First of all, this is one wacked out mofo. I like him http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

The adventure genre is practically synonymous with the name "Tim Schafer”. Will you ever be able to shake the legacies of Grim Fandango, Full Throttle and the like? Would you even want to?
Well, if I could get people to just selectively remember them, that would be great. Like if they could remember the style of Grim Frandango, the sales figures of Full Throttle, the sense of humor of Day of the Tentacle, and then somehow mash that all up together in their brain. That would be awesome.

FYI, this is not trolling.

Yesterday, I played the OXM demo (Xbox obviously), and wow, was I amazed how shitty this is.

Humor eh? I didn't DETECT a HINT of humor! It tries so HARD to make you laugh that it's pathetic.

My $.02

A game doesn't have to be funny to be good though, does it? http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif lol

The gameplay in the demo is somewhat mediocre, like a generic platformer http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

It's definatley meant to be on a console.

I was hoping this would have some real adventure aspects like LucasArt's old adventure games.

Don't know what this negative talk is about. Freaking great game. And for a tutorial level it was pretty damn good. Great art, great script, great acting, great environments (running around the camp was just cool), Controls are really tight and responsive, character based animation. Looks like I may have to import it since it doens't have an Aus release date yet.
