This is.. I guess.. a bit complex...

I have a 160GB drive, and I want to split the drive up into different primary partitions so I can run different OSes on it... I'd like to have a couple of my 98SEs I have on my seperate drives and a version of XP on the drive..

I was wanting; C:40GB:98SE, D:60GB:XPPro, E:40GB:FreeSpace and two 10GB drives for my other SE versions....
Now I have Partition Magic and a host drive that makes all this much easier... But.. I don't know how I can get it to properly boot, with a boot manager, so I can select which OS to go into.

I know XP comes with a Boot manager, but to use it, it has to be C: and I want 98SE to be C.

Can anyone help?

I don't think XP HAS to be C, just install it after win98.

so install 98 first to C:, then XP afterwards. You have to install MS operating systems in order of their release more or less.

Install 98 first... (will be C)
Then XP...
But I believe you can have only 4 partitions per HDD.

The rules are as follows:
4 primary and as many logical partitions as you wish, Of course the problem is that Win98 and XP both need to be on a primary parttition and on top of that you must install the OS'es in this order, Win98, Win98, XP and edit the boot.ini in XP and add both partitions to it save it and whila you have 2 copys on Win98 and a copy of XP.
