I am using "cloudyskies" texture (the same sky at the It's impossible level) in a large area, and i don't know why, but in one sector the clouds doesn't move, so when i see to that sector's wall the ceiling seems to be "disalligned" because the clouds doesn't move. I don't know what has happened, because before the clouds was moving correctly. Please help me!

I solved the problem images/icons/smile.gif by adding some redlined sectors... But i would like to know why this happens... ?

Aren't there two of the same texture? Cloudysky and cloudyocean (or something like that)? I think one moves and the other doesn't.

I've checked that, and all the textures are the same (cloudyskies)...

Each red-walled sector has it's own "sky." Make sure you switch all the sky textures to the parallaxed mode. (aim at the sky sector and hit the 'P' key in 3D mode) images/icons/smile.gif

Yes, all ceilings are parallaxed...
The problem is that the texture causes a quite strange effect, is just as if any other texture were disaligned, except because this is not disaligned, but that seems because the clouds do not move.
Anyway, the problem (at least for my map) was solved, it's only my curiosity... images/icons/smile.gif

Alejandro: I'm not sure if I ran into a similar thing. Look around the level for some other panned sky or floor and see if you're using another texture. I don't know what the combos are that can be used (if any) but in my "Adder Base" mad martin's duke pages (http://members.tripod.com/mad_martin55/index.htm) I had one heck of a time with textures in the main sky showing adjecent ones in the Build collection. graemlins/mryuck.gif I might write about it on my site. images/icons/wink.gif

I was thinking on that but isn't the problem, i really don't understand what happens because is really very weird. If you want, you can download that map (Adg03) from MSDN (http://www.planetduke.com/msdn) or We Store Your Crap (http://www.planetduke.com/kef) and try adding objects or splitting sectors near the walls to see exactly what happens.

This is usually solved by pressing 'TAB' on one
part of the sky and pressing enter on each other
part (even if they are the same texture already)

Nutwrench, every sector has a sky, not just ones which might or might not be associated with double sided walls.
I don't really see why people are getting so bemused here, it's no mystery.
As Usurper pointed out there are two similar looking textures which are treated differently by Duke3D. One of them has it's texture orientation changed over time and the other doesn't. You can't expect computers to do things they're not told to. They might look similar textures to you but to Duke3D one of them might as well be a picture of a fish.
