Am I the only one that has never heard about this game... ever? Until now that is. Anyone care to fill me in?

Long story short, it was first developed at around the time DNF started production. It was highly ambitious, and was proclaimed to have an immensely powerfull engine called, the Portal Engine. I admit, at the time, very little could match it (this was around the time of Quake 2, and Unreal was just around the corner).
Sadly it was canceled after many years of development. Now it has been reannounced using the Doom 3 engine.
The premise is, you play a Native American fighting bad guys. That's all we know so far.

I never knew William Scarboro was involved with the original Prey. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Wasn't KMFDM doing the soundtrack or something too?

^^^ Yeah they were. I doubt that's still the case though.

I vaguely remember someone from 3DR saying that some of the recordings were made, and they still have the rights to use it. So maybe theres still a chance?

Oh my god.... if they got to use KMFDM music for a soundtrack I would get it just because of that ^^;
