State the reasons we could possibly have for anticipating it. Myself, I was impressed by the old tech videos, but now when the game (or a variety of it, at least) is actually back in development, I don't know what to think, really. Why should we anticipate it?

Yes, it's probably hard now. After E3, we should have a good idea, but does anyone know something now?

- Just to see the latest project 3DR is involved with.
- To see what they've done with the Doom 3 engine.

I guess many gamers are basing their anticipation on what they have saw from Prey back in 1997/1998.

The tech was just amazing back that time.

Do we actually know for certain that it is using DooM 3 tech?

It would be great if it were the same tech used for DNF. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

i'm pretty sure george has confirmed "prey" is using the doom 3 engine and also alluded to the fact that portals may have made it into the engine/game. (he posted over at the shack today....too lazy to find the link right now).

Doom3 is a pretty hot engine. And Portal tech/gameplay can be put into most any engine.

my reason to anticipate it is that the last 2 games 3dr were involved with were ***** amazing and i have faith that theyre producing another great game...

this is seriously one of the last things i would've ever expected...i thought prey was made shut of a long time ago and the idea that they've revived it is very interesting and i'd like to see what they've accomplished in silence over all these years

Yeah, that's why I'm looking forward to it. I'm interested in seeing what they've done with Prey, and how they managed to re-work it on to the Doom 3 engine since then. Hopefully we'll get to see some videos shortly after the PC Gamer world debute. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
