From Computer Games Magazine:

Much like they did with Half-Life 2 at the two previous Electronic Entertainment Expos, PC graphics chip maker ATI plans to have two special demo theaters at this year's E3, this time showcasing new games from Take Two Interactive and Max Payne creators Remedy.

The theaters will each have 20 minutes for demoing each game, according to a press note promoting the event. At the moment, there is no further word on what games will be shown at the ATI Take Two or Remedy demo booths.

Hmmm - whaddya guys think?

And what's this have to do with DNF?

But I hope it's something other than Max Payne. I want to see what else Remedy can cook up.

I haven't heard anything from George or Joe on this, so until they say something, I bet DNF won't show up.

I too would like to see Remedy try out a different game. A new franchise or style perhaps.

Why was this posted here? Are you trying to tell us something?!? OMFG, IT MUST BE TEH DUKE!!!!
Um, but yeah, I would like to see an original game from Remedy. I think they could pull off something great with their talent.

But Prey could end up being one of them.

Also, awesome news on the new Remedy game.

What does Remedy have to do with DNF? If it said Take 2 and 3DRealms... I could get excited.

But Remedy isn't working on DNF.

There is a Take Two booth......and a Remedy Booth. Obviously, each have their own individual game to showcase. This doesn't mean that 3dRealms is not involved http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif It could be clever marketing.

Where is Kaiser?!

I know what my money is on.

Well since this thread is already here, is there a professional relationship between Remedy and 3DR now? If not, I think it'd be badass if there was another collaboration. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Oh well, I interpreted as Take 2 showing off a bunch a games on one theater, and Remedy showing off something new on the other.

But looking at it again, I guess it's not what they meant. It could be something like Max Payne 3 (Take 2 is going to be making a third game with or without Remedy) and something new from Remedy?

This thread should probably be moved to general gaming or something.

I saw a rumor somewhere that Prey will be showed at at the ATI/Take Two booth. Also Remdy will not be making Max Payne 3.

Becuase of this (http://www.3drealms.com/press/max2announced.html) :

" Take-Two also announced that it has acquired ownership of the Max Payne brand and all intellectual property rights associated with the brand, including trademarks, copyrights, characters, perpetual license to utilize proprietary technologies, including the Max Payne game engine and associated "Bullet Time(TM)" technology, and rights to license fees from ancillary Max Payne brand extensions such as cinema, television and literary productions.

Take-Two purchased the Max Payne property from Remedy Entertainment and Apogee Software in exchange for $10 million in cash and 969,932 shares of restricted common stock, in addition to certain future development incentives."

If this is true then Remedy will be showing off their brand new IP.

It is true that they (3DR & Remedy) sold the Max Payne IP.

Holy shit that's a lot of stock. I remember Scott posting at that Quarter to Three (or whatever it's called) saying the full package came out to around $40 million. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif Props to both companies. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I hope their new game is as good as Max Payne.

So who's gunna make Max Payne 3 http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif I don't know a whole lot about what's best in situations like this but it strikes a layman like me that it would be better to have the people that initally developed the game create the sequel. It's like when film sequels get passed on to different directors. They usually suck.
