"Who's in it? Nicolas Cage , Jon Voight , Wes Bentley

What's it about? Ghost Rider is the story of motorcycle stuntman Johnny Blaze, who, seeking revenge for harm done to his one true love, makes a pact with dark forces to avenge the wrongdoing. By day, the Ghost Rider is a motorcycle stuntman able to perform superhuman tricks; by night he is transformed into a burning demon on wheels as he hunts down those who bring pain to the innocent. "

I know that Marvel is basically just cashing in on the whole movie thing after Spider-Man and X-Men went well, but damn.. Ghost Rider is an awesome character, and I hope this movie kicks ass.

I liked this character in the 80s to some extent. The stories were always a little more involved than your average do-gooder mag. In my opinion Todd McFarlane borrowed to some extent from Ghost Rider to create Spawn.

Has anyone done a reworking of this guy since then? In graphic novel form perhaps? I'd love to see a Miller-esque recount of the Ghost Rider story.

I've been looking forward to seeing this movie for quite some time now. That motorcycle picture just made me even more eager to see the movie. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I was kind of skeptic when I heared about Cage playing Ghost Rider when I found out about a year ago, maybe earlier, but now after seeing him he looks completely different then what I pictured.

Needless to say, I'm impressed.

They have been filming ghostrider around the trainstation where I get off to go to class, I got to see some small stuff like a bunch of swat and other cops looking off the edge of a bridge into the water, swat vans and cop cars. I've been meaning to get a camera and hang about for some pics, but I have a shitload of work due in.

Well, it's been done. Someone did it for the second Resident Evil movie.

I'm hoping it'll be good to, but I heard the script was reworked to get a PG rating and move away from the initial R it was expected to get.

So now, I'm expecting a wimpy bs kids adaption of the comic book. I REALLY hope I'm wrong.

Just watched this.

Surpisingly for me it wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be. I wouldn't even put it at 4 out of 5, maybe 3.5 out of 5. But I thought it was good enough worth a watch and I started to like the GR character. Nic as Johnny Blaze... I dunno, average Nic performance to me - nothing out there too much. While the CGI (demons etc) could've been better, it wasn't horribly distracting either.

There was basically zero action.

The only fight scene was the end, and that wasn't really a fight scene.

Then again, I'm basing off what I saw when it first came out a loooong time ago

I saw it on TV and I'm not entirely familiar with the comic book series, but man could they have chosen someone else other than Mendes. :mryuck:

Also, Poor Cage is looking quite old. :( Not quite as old as Ford in Jones, but I guess covering up with jackets and hats/helmets doesn't hurt them either. :o
