Well, checking back over the binary in the www.prey.com (http://www.prey.com) source, I found that it has been changed from it's previous phrase. Now, it says this...

"Evil draws near. From beyond the veil of the world you understand. You cannot turn your back on your heritage any longer. From it you will draw strength. All your life you have rejected the ways of your ancestors. The beliefs of your people. But now you must embrace them, if you are to survive."

So, as Tommy's heritidge is of spiritual power and such, do you think there will be some sort of gameplay feature like those found in RoE, where you gain powers after awhile?

According to the preview:

" As he fights, Tommy begins receiving guidance from his grandfather's spirit, unlocking abilities such as "spirit walking" (a type of astral projection) and "death walking" (a way to beat both the grave and the hassle of re-loading from a save point). "

So yes.

That doesn't sound too good to me, but I'll just have to wait till I get to see it.

It does, actually. One of the few good features of the game Requiem: Avenging Angel was the ability to possess foes. You would leave your body and walk around invisibly so you can grab a host. Was also good for scouting around the area before you just ran in with guns firing. The death walking sounds interesting.
