Would it be possible to code a feature for 2D mode that only showed sectors which fall between two given z coordinates.

Other sectors should be probably be shown (But greyed out perhaps), and manipulation (such as sprite placement, and creating new sectors) could only effect the sectors in the given range.

It's just that creating areas where you want multiple sectors over eachother is a pain in build, especially when you start adding 3 or more floors.

Just a thought.

I don't know how you go about building multi floors, but i build each floor in a null area of the grid then when i'm through i move it into place at the proper Z coordinates.

With the new build grid size makes it easier than with the old DOS build (small) http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Ya, there are some mistakes in how build handles placing items in over lapping sectors. I never got around to finding the offending code though.
