Greetings, all. It's good to be here. I originally came here for help/advice on some Duke strategy, but during the time I was waiting for membership approval I found out it seems the Duke games for PSOne are kinda looked down upon around here. No matter, I enjoy Total Meltdown and just recently have found levels I've never seen before and it was a great thrill. Nothing beats blasting away in surround sound. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I'd like to ask the advice of this board as to what would be a good Nukem game for PC. I prefer first-person shooters, and have never been able to play anything with a keyboard as far as PC games go (I'm a guitar player too, go figure). If you would be so kind as to recommend a controller (if feasible for PC-gaming) and a Duke 1st-person game it would be greatly appreciated. If there is a great Doom PC game you could recommend, by all means drop a name.

Duke Nukem 3D Atomic Edition or Duke Nukem Manhatten Project. Both great and fun games.

As for a controller.......I have a Belkin/ Nostromo/ Speed Pad n52.

It has 15 keys with a built in mouse. The unit measures 6"x7", the key pad is about 3.5"x2". The whole thing is programable. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Manhattan Project is NOT a First Person Game, but a great game nontheless.

Duke Nukem 3D is the only Duke FPS game out there, on whatever format, including the PC. Duke Nukem 3D is also a decade old, so the present day OS can't run it. However, for all our gaming pleasure, JonoF created a port to windows using the source code release of a year.

For that, and its enhancements, check out the "Duke Nukem 3D Source Code" forum.

A new Duke Nukem FPS by the name of Duke Nukem Forever is being created, but won't be released until it's done, and nobody really knows when that is.

EDIT: ^and let me say, huh?
