It always prompts me after i boot up windows

I got this error message after my computer was struck by a kelvir.aj virus.
http://www.sarc.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.kelvir.aj.html
I have gotten rid of the virus but the error message still pops up and i fear it might have done some damage to my computer.
If anyone could help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

do these files exist on your computer?
does your computer run normal for the rest?

did you check the run "folder" in your registry editor and .ini files if something weird is trying to start these up?
SOMETHING must redirect to these 2 files that can't be run in ms dos or windows.
If you can't find it, I may be able to help, I have removed errors on startup before

Yes debug.exe exist on my computer, but AUTOEXE.NT isnt on my computer... upon running it, it promtps that warning again. My computer runs normally as far as im aware... its just that prompt that pops up after booting windows that i don't understand

Arent those two system critical files, or are they just named that way and place in different folders as a disguise?

Put in AUTOEXEC.NT.
You can make one and they tell you how on the MS site. Sometimes when you get rid of some virus it gets pissed at you and takes that file with you. Happened to me before with spyware.

I had something similar, after removing some spyware, it removed one of the bootfiles, so I couldn't logon in windows anymore.
logging in.... screen apears
logging out.... screen apears
so you can't do anything anymore http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/redface.gif
registry: start => run => regedit
look in hkey_local_machine, hkey_users, hkey_current_user after the "folder":
software => microsoft => windows => currentversion => run, runonce and runonceEx
that are (almost) all files that boot, delete everything that you don't know BUT keep it inside the "run", or else your system may crash.
deleting a registry entry in run causes that file not to boot with windows anymore. so if it's steam you can for example leave it there, because you know it.
but a registry entry called nbhbydoihui you don't know that so you can delete it http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
I said almost all files that startup with windows, the other are in start => programs => startup, and in some .ini files (you can view them in start => run => msconfig)
if you don't have msconfig like some win2000 version that ship without one, download it, but make sure it's the correct one.
follow this 100% correct and your virus will disappear.
this method only works for viruses, spyware, adware (or programs as a whole), not for system errors, so if it's just a system error, don't follow my help.
follow this 99% correct and your virus won't disappear, or worse (if you deleted things that aren't in run, runonce, or runonceEx, like for example rundll32) then your computer may be stuck and you can format your hard drive.

I finally solved my AUTOEXE.NT problem. Wootage x100! And it was so darn simple!
