Stub exec failed:

I extracted the files to the Duke3d Directory also.

NeverMind!

I got it working!

All the trouble I went through to get this working again! AHHHH! All I had to do was d/l Mapster!! Listen to my story.

Day 1:
Decided to fire up old DukeNukem3d and build levels again after about 3 years of not messing with it. So I install the games, copy the dir for build. 1st problem, keyboard buttons did not work. 2nd problem, sound will not work. Researched the net to hopefully find answers and to no avail, found nothing. Desided to partition my hard drive.

Day 2:
Paritioning begins................two hours later.........nothing......nothing

Day 3-7:
Partitoining finally done! Spent over 6 days trying to get parition up and running. Sucessfully made the parittion, but severe kernel damage to windows98. This really angered me. I must have formated my hard drive like 30 times! Desparatly seeking new ways to get build to work.
Decide to intall Linux.

Day 8:
Now that I have only like 432mb left on this parition I found mapster and d/l it.!!!!
Works perfectly!

If this makes me sound stupid then, guess I am not very good at this computer stuff. I have acquired SOOOO much info on comps trying to get build to work, than I ever had using a comp for 5 years!!!

Download dos4gw.exe and put it in your Duke3d file.. or where-ever you've put Mapster in ;-)
Don't ask me where to get it but I'm sure you can find it with great search site's such as Google or something. Duke would say: "Huh, piece of cake!"

The only differences I've noticed that effects how you make maps is the ability to shrink the grid further and it automatically saves repeated backup copies (which takes up too much space on my secondary computer, as it only has about 3.01 GB).

Maybe you should learn to use your brain then.
Mapster provides complete control over map elements - something you cannot do with Build. For example. you can have any height sectors, not just multiples of 1024.
Secondly the maximum size a map can reach is around 500k. Mapster saves every minute or so. It would take several days of working with very large maps to fill 3 gigs. Your complaint is stupid as you are unlikely to ever reach saturation point and the benefit of having incremental backups far out weights the small amount of hard drive space used for it.
Oh, and it's faster as well, as it uses new optimised build libraries.

I don't like it much for some reason.
