The one in dukeburger!! (duke atmoic edition) http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Theres a few in episode 3 that I like too http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
The one I dislike (well, just dont like as much) is dethtoll!!! http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif Arg....I always remember it as the drab, lifeless midi used when I play my custom maps. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tinyted.gif I usually got rid of this syndrome by inserting a more 'themed' music that went with level into the directory and named it dethtoll. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Its soooooo dull! http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mryuck.gif Everytime I try to play Duke's first episode and I get to level 2 I get hit with a wave of memories of making maps. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

You can't tell the difference between Marks redone mp3 files to the original midi files? My god man, are you deaf?
no i'm not. i mean, what did he actually 'redone' there? maybe some instrument balance and stuff, and just played the midis on the professional midi equipment and recorded the mp3s. it's the same if i would download some high quality soundfont banks for my sb audigy 2 and make mp3s from original doom/doom2 mus/midi and then claim that "lookie, i've redone them! these are redone mp3s!!".
i mean, some overclocker remixes guys did alot more work for their remixes, which are truly can be stated as "redone tracks".
p.s. i've heard all his duke/blood related 'redone' midis. some of duke midis are ok but all the blood ones sound ugly.

You can get them here
Got those, I was wondering about the original MIDI files, though.
just use kextract.exe duke3d.grp *.mid
or if you own the cd, the midis are in the goodies directory with the listing of comosers.
PRTYCRUZ.mid is proberbly my Favorite. (From Duke Carribian)

100% ACK! They're not bad, but the music was made for midi and not for orchestra. There's no additional creativity like in the OC- and other remixes http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I have a question:
Where were the full names of the songs found out?
Like how ALIENZ is "Aliens, Say Your Prayers."
I first saw names like that on Mark McWane's page.
Did he make up these names or did he find them somewhere?

Nope, in the Duke Nukem Atomic Edition CD, there's a text archive in the same folder where the Midi's are found. It's a list with of the songs, with the Midi name, the real complete name and the guy who composed (Lee Jackson or Bobby Prince). ;)

No, but since Lee Jackson used an SC-88xx to record it one could, if they had a really good ear, probably pick out each sound from the mono 22050 hz sound file and recreate it on a SC-55 or SC-88xx. It'd be tricky but aside from asking Mr Jackson if he still has the source file himself, that's the best you can do.
