i just installed an wireless keyboard. An, Acteck it works fine except for one thing, from time to time it displays the volume meter as a green bar covering the low part of the screen.

I can't seem to be able to fix it.
How can i disable it from showing ?

it happens when you move the wireless (included in a kit) mouse of press a key, randomized. it's strange, never saw something like that.

I tried hitting without a lot of force the keyboard on different parts to see if it was an fabrication error. But it never showed.

what can i do?

A lot of keyboards have "special function" keys that let you do stuff like check your e-mail, go into sleep mode, etc. Look above your regular function keys for some odd-looking buttons.

You can probably disable those keys in your Control Panel. Look for a control panel installed by the Acteck drivers.

I have a fancy lighted keyboard that has lots of unnecessary keys for Internet mail, player controls and stuff. I didn't bother to install the drivers that came with it and chose a generic Windows keyboard driver, instead.

Maybe you can change your keyboard driver in the Device Manager to a generic wireless keyboard(?) (assuming Windows has one). That ought to disable those extra keys

One more thing: check your Control Panel under "Accessibility Options" See if you have Windows set up to handle certain key combos for you.
