Anyone up for a game of JfDuke Multiplayer? I'm waiting in DukesterX. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif If not today, let me know when you do! http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

The lastest version of JFDuke doesn't want to work. Loads up and quits to desktop http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

What version of JF Duke are you running? And what version of Duke3d?

Odd it works for me. I'm running the Atomic verison of duke3d (not sure of the exact version # or how to get it via jfduke3d)

If you use XP, Right click on the shortcut and enter the properties. Under the compatibility tab, turn off advanced services and visual themes...I find that helps when this error comes by.

Also, try deleting the config file and run it with default settings to see if it was something you might have tweaked by accident.

Damn. JFDuke3D binaries 20050228 just wont work. Atomic is version 1.5. I have the original 1.3D, too.

I have to get this working http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tinyted.gif

Might have to ask Jonof on this one. Keep trying different things (disabling options etc in the setup).

Let me know once it works http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif We can have a game.

I'm also looking for people to play Jdoom with....I've only had a few games with friends but other than that no one plays it...I don't know why I'm the only one who finds Doom fun in co-op http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

how can I play in my LAN with jonof 20050228 bin?

I have this
-DukesterX 1.5 Full
-Atomic on both Pc's
-28 February 2005 Jonof Port.

The first Jonof released worked perfect on LAN but lastest versions doesn't work.

Also I tried to modify the compatibility settings of WinXP SP2 and didn't work.
(I don't have any problems with Sp2 Firewall, Rancid goes well)
HELP!!!! http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif

What goes wrong? They just don't run? Error messages?

I found that DukesterX isn't working all that well with jonof's yet....the best I acheived so far was without it and just using batch files with Jonofs on a lan....very stable.

This sucks.... http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif Guess the only way to play online might be with batch files..

Well for play I do this on a LAN.

Using DukesterX 1.5.1 beta and first Jonof released
-Host a game
-Join in the other Pc
-Start game
-Jonof opens a startup window
-Wait few seconds
-Perfect on-line working

Using same dukesterX and rancidmeat
-Perfect on-line working

Using DukesterX 1.5 Full and 20050228 Jonof port
-The same process but in startup you can see Waiting players... in both pc's. I can't Play.

Using DukesterX 1.5 Full and rancidmeat.
-Perfect on-line working

Give me a solution.

At first: If you are running the mutiplayer game with a router, many erros can and will happen.

Is your ip correct?

For me, it joins the game and everything appears to work...but then after 30 seconds it goes out of sync.

Also, for some reason now whenever I enter my game options after hosting a server it boots me right out of DukesterX.

http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Maybe we have to wait for a new program? Why would dukester cause out of sync when normal batch files will not?

This is my LAN config.
-First PC: Shares 56K internet connection to a second PC. It has a static IP adress.

There are connected by a 10Mbps LAN hub

-Second PC: This is the joining PC (for internet). It uses random IP (I check it when I play games like Diablo II).

With this config and other configs I tested (not internet sharing) all my TCP/IP games, including that I said in my previous post and no problems.

In the second PC when I have null Ip adress i type in cmd ipconfig/release and ipconfig/renew to have a new ip for connect the LAN and play on it.

DukesterX doesn't have problems with this ip changes.

DukesterX generates, when you push start, a batch file with your DM game config, but I think that creating new batch files you can't play if Jonof not allows multiplayer games (possibly I'm wrong). If you have reason, what need I to write in batch files for create MP games without dukesterX? Using 28 February binaries of course.
