Something I didn't know about. If you place your cursor over a link and click the middle mouse button it will open a new tab. Much better than right clicking and selecting new tab.
I'm sure most of you guys here know that http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/redface.gif But just a cool little tip for those that don't. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Any other tips\cool plugins you guys know about? Feel free to share http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I'm a relativly(sp?) a new FF user, and that's about the only "advanced" thing I can do 'till now.
Any other useful tips are welcomed. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I use the foxy tunes plugin, but I keep forgetting it's there. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
Ctrl-T opens up a new tab... that's all I can think of.
Sometimes I'm researching about a topic and end up with a dozen open tabs will all the webpages I could locate about the topic. To save them all to a safe location you can check the "Bookmark all tabs in a folder" when you bookmark one page.
To open them all later, rightclick on the folder in the menu and choose "Open in tabs".
Control+W closes a tab.
Anyone can tell me the name of that plug in that allows you to drag a link and it automatically opens it in a new tab?
I want to drag, not to middleclick lol
I don't know if this is what you want: you can drag & drop a link in the tab bar and it will open in a new tab. This does not require any extension.

LOL, I love that "click the scroll wheel and open a tab" routine. Man, Bill Gates never knew what hit 'em. I only wish that Netscape would bounce back, that was the original means of rivalry with IE. Firefox seems to have its good points, there's no doubt about that.

Bumping this because I finally thought "what the hell" and downloaded FireFox. It's good, but does anyone know how you stop it scrolling pages back to the top when you press Back to go back to them? In IE it leaves them scrolled down to wherever you were when you clicked a link etc. to go to another page. It's probably a really simple option I've missed somewhere, but there's nothing in the help file...

I use Avant Browser instead of FireFox and never had that problem.
Avant Browser can be downloaded from http://www.avantbrowser.com

Consider it as junk with a new paintlayer.

Bump...
When I'm on my laptop without the mouse, I'd always right click the link and put my cursor on the 'Open link in new tab' to...open the link in a new tab.
One day, like today, I was so fed up with it that I decided to post here asking for a faster way...
then I discovered 'Ctrl + click' http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/redface.gif

Or you could just press your middle wheel button (if you have one)
