Portal intersecting a portal?

Is that even possible?
Imagine a portal floating about and entering another portal while the other one floats inside the first one?

And then you entering this construction.

This will either result in something ultra-physics-bending-impossible thins, or a giant bug. Hopefully the former.

My thought: Portal usage might be limited to prevent this kind of situations. Your computer will probably precompute how many portals there will be at the same time and make the game work as desired.
