Uhm, 1.99$?
So, either its good, works great and everyone is happy. Or you drop two $ on the ground and figure you are too lazy to bend over and pick it up. I seriously dont see the need for advice on this purchase. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Myself, im wondering whether or not im gonna buy a 5-pack of snickers I saw in the mall today.

I'd say to double check with your mainboard to ensure compatibility. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Buy it!
If it's crap, you can sell it to someone else for $20 and make 10x what you paid. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

It's good. Got it for one of my comps to bring it from 256 to 512.

Personally I only use Corsair or Kingston, but for $2 you can't pass it up. Never heard anything bad about it. As was said before, just make sure it's compatible.
Now if only I could find a good cigar for $2!

I would say that Kingston is better for a quality stick of RAM, but for a $2.00 stick from Viking, well, if you aren't satisfied with the quality of the Viking, then you can probably sell it on eBay for about $10 - $20, and use the money to buy better quality RAM. That's mainly all I can suggest at this point in time. I could fathom at a Corsair stick, but without too much delay, grab that deal while you can. See if it'll work out for ya.

"$30 Rebate. Expires on 05/31/2005 (Midnight E.S.T.)
1 per part"
I don't think you have that much time to decide either! http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dopefish.gif I say go for it, you have virtually nothing to loose. It's either you buy this ram or a bag of potato chips.
My concern? I ***** hate rebates....it took a good month or so to get a $15.00 rebate from Staples after I bought my wireless router. I've learned never to take the rebate price as the final price....and just accept that I may never get that damned rebate without headaches...

Yeah, rebates are awful. A lot of places will even go as far as refusing to accept certified mail when you send the stuff in, because it's pretty hard to pretend it was lost in the mail if the delivery is on record.

You're most certainly right about that. Rebates can be a little deceiving, especially for computer components and equipment like that. When I bought a Netgear Router back in January, I did receive both rebates, tho, so that's one of the only saving graces I've ever seen. As for the other rebates, I haven't seen one single rebate check ever come back in my direction with everything that I bought from the holidays on to present day. However, next time I see rebate offers, I'm completely gonna, well, I'll just eat donuts with the boyz in blue, there you go! Hehe...
