Any of you here play Forza Motorsport?

The group of people I game with at the other forum I go to for mature gamers play this almost religiously. Personally I never got into it.

Those screens look great, I think I'm going to get it. I got suckered into getting the new EA Nascar game by a deceptive article from PCgamer, it plays like a lame arcade game.

Forza would look like the real thing even more if it was on xbox 360. I played it, and the game was pretty, but I don't like how it handles at all. The last racing game I played with such tight handling was Gran Tourismo 4 (which btw still looks no where as good as Project Gotham 2 which is pretty old).

Forza was my first racing sim and at first i hated how i couldnt take a turn at 300km/h, but after playing a little while and learning the intricacies of the game, i appreciated the game alot more. this game has so many plus points alot of people dont notice or take for granted, like

-the streamlines menus and user interface, i notice how columns of words cycles up if the test box is too small to accomadate all the words.
-extremely user-friendly. i never once had to refer to a faq while playing forza coz i know what everything did because the game explains it for you.

That's called "realism". How about you get in your car and take a 90° turn going 200 in the space of about 1.5 seconds?

I loved project gotham but lost interest after a while. I tried playing forza but couldn't get the controls down at all since i wasn't used to the turning so I just kept hitting things. I'de pick this up for sure if i got extra cash.

I like some "realism", but not so much that I have no fun with the game. In Forza, I slam the brakes, and I go in the dirt. When I slow down mildly, I go in the dirt. The game steers badly just like GT 4. I don't like a lot of games that are too arcadey either. I like a nice blend. In fact, I'm one of the people that bitched about Tony Hawk's Pro Skater because it was not any realistic. I liked Thasher: Skate and Destroy lots better cause it felt more real, and was a lot more of a challenge. I hated Cool Boarders 3-2001 because you could do a double back flip with 4 feet of air. Espn Xgames Snowboarding was too realistic (especially 2002), and was not that fun. Amped 1 and 2 were great, 2 is my fav. snowboarding game since Cool Boarders 2. The Getaway had a great story, but the game itself was no fun because of "realism". If games and movies were totally realistic, they'd be no fun, but same thing if everything was like the Fast and the Furious. I'm not dumb, I know what "realism is", I just like a game to be FUN.

Not to sound persistance dr. kill but if anything this would be considered a driving simulator so it's really rather silly to comment on it being too realistic for any reason really. If anything all complaints should be about it not being up to real world standards in this respect or that.

I understand what you mean though. I'm a huge fan of Project Gotham 2 and find the power sliding in that game to be extremely intuitive with a little practice. In forza when i slammed the breaks on for the first time I truely felt the "GODDAMIT SLOW DOWN FASTER" that you get in real life when you don't leave appropriate car lengths and a sudden stop comes up.

I LOVE FORZA! It kicks ass! I love that I'm not stuck with the 15 crappy songs GT3 stuck you with. Anything on the HD baby!

I'm really, really digging this game. 25% through SP, played some on LIVE. In a car club with some PA forumers since I didn't think anyone here would play. I can get y'all an invite to the car club, though, it's like 12 people big now.

Catch me on live, or send me a pm and we'll race! My XBLGT is dreweth. I'm still goofing around in D, C, B, and A classes. Haven't played too much with the S or R classes. The classes make me love this game. You have to be good to win those restrictive races, not just drop 100k into a ricer (not that there's anything wrong with that).

I don't know why i see some people dissing forza's music, imho it fits the theme very well and i could let it loop for hours on end while im designing graphics on my car without even being the least bothered by it. Speaking of customizing, look at the crazy things people are creating!

Im training my drivatar now, and boy is training a bitch. i can't for the life of me get through the second preliminary track without an abysmal 50% overall.
