Thanks to some info from ALejandro, I can create such episodes as the ADG! But em...The Last level of MY episode (the sangla episode) should have a new boss unit! Is it possible to create it with editart, if it is, give me the steps one by one. And if it is not, I should have the return of The Cycloid Emperor.

Go to http://dukertcm.totalconversions.com/ and look under Usurper's Edit Art, for all the info you could possibly need.
To answer your question in a nut shell, Edit Art is not a program to create a boss. It is a program to organize the tiles of a boss in sequence.
Use True Space or other compatible 3D programs to make the boss.

The boss won't work unless you Con it though... for your purposes just change the art for an old boss.

Do you think an answer would be something like: use the Dukem 3d Kit. With that program you can make models, arts, maps, cons, sounds etc. No.. it's not that simple..

Okay, how do you actually load the boss arts to change them?

Ugh, I can't belive I'm posting in the build forum. I was so very retired. I was getting nauseous from loading 2D maps. Alas, I saw the editart thing and figured I'd check what was up.
The direct link to the guide is here (http://dukertcm.totalconversions.com/knowledge-base/documents-online/art-editart-guide.html). There's a draft of a new version of the guide that I never finished. It's nowhere near done, but you can read what's there here (http://usurper-rtcm.totalconversions.com/edart20draft.html). Stupid Edge Network has apparently nuked all zip files, rendering RTCM all but useless for file archives, which was half the firking point. I haven't talked to Corv in months, so I don't know if he even has the archives on his computer anymore. (On the off chance anyone's emailed me about this, sorry, the hotmail account is dead dead dead.) I hate to see RTCM decay because of a lousy host, but even if I had the passwords and permission from Corv to save it/resurrect it/move it, there's nowhere to go. No way I'd taint it with the stench of fileplanet. Dukenukemcenter is dead it seems. I don't have the cash for another host, and I have no idea how much bandwidth you build monkeys would use. If anyone has any suggestions, let me know (in this thread; I'll keep checking it) and I'll get ahold of Corv and see if anything is possible.
If Steel Katz should read this, first, I'm a jerk. Sorry. Second, I did get around to testing the sky thing, and there's really nothing I can tell you. It just works for me the way I wrote it. images/icons/frown.gif Best of luck.

That's a bummer about RTCM. The whole mapping /TC scene is pretty much dead, but it's a shame there isn't a sort of archive of Duke3d material somewhere.
My site, Quake Terminus, is only really up to archive Quake1 material. There isn't a central Q1 mod site anymore, and Quake1 files are disappearing from the internet every day. Same with Duke3d files as well I guess images/icons/frown.gif

But unlike Sunrise the site will be hosted by me in private. I won't open it until late this fall, if even this year. For now, even if Fileplanet is not up to your standards, it may be a reasonable temporary storage place for the files until they can find a final and pernament resting place on my site or somewhere else. I could host a pure ftp site by September, it would be like fileplanet only, well, humble in size. So if you can save all the files right now, I will host them later this year.

Thanks, Phoenix, I appreciate the offer. I'd take you up on it right away, but I did some checking:
Right now it looks like the files that are in the rtcm ftp are still up, so it's not as bad as I thought. They still wiped all the files in my directory and they wiped Mapster; I don't know how far the problem extends, but I at least have to get those files restored and put into the ftp.
In short, http nuked, ftp safe. Pain in the ass is what I call it.
I'm going to try saving all the RTCM files on my comp (that'll be slow going on my modem). Not only to prevent their loss, but because I'd really like to move RTCM off that site. Two popups AND banner ads is unacceptable.
That, and the site really needs resorting. Newbies repeatedly can never find anything there, despite an organization that made sense to us and a swell search feature.
I've been itching to make another site now that my skillz have gotten l337er, so maybe a redesign is in order.

Please don't take this as a criticism, but I did find RTCM a little difficult to navigate. It's a great site, with a huge archive of information, but I kind of found it difficult as times to find information. Maybe I'm just a nimrod images/icons/grin.gif
How about something like 3 sections:
</font> <font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Build beginners</font> <font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Intermediate </font> <font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Level Lords!
</font><font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">/me runs away now....

I already wrote up a layout doc if I get Corv's approval to do anything.
Main Page: News/About/History
Duke 3D & Eduke
- I. Build
- II. Editart
- III. Cons
- IV. Sound & Music
- V. Cutscenes
- VI. Group Files
- VII. Voxels
- VIII. Misc.
Build Source
Other Build Engine Games
- I. Shadow Warrior
- II. Blood
- III. Nam
- IV. WW2GI
- V. Tekwar
- VI. Fate
- VII. Witchaven I & II
- VIII. Etc.
Links
The Duke3d/Eduke sections would have a brief overview for newbies followed by doc links and program links specific to that "field" of building.
The section for build source would have a brief history of the source campaign so to speak, the files themselves, a minifaq, and links to ken's site.
The other build engine games sections would have game-specific files/docs, plus links back to duke3d files that are "compatible."
As for links, that's a whole lot of pain there. I'll worry about that once the rest is done, assuming I can even reach Corv.

Great news. Got ahold of Corv. Looks like I get to help on the site again if I don't push my luck too much. images/icons/smile.gif He's still working on it himself, though nothing you'd notice from the front page, but docs and such are being updated. Not sure if he'll let me resort it yet for easier access. Give me some requests here and I'll go over them with Corv and see what's feasible.

Usurper, long time no hear!
It's SteelKat aka WhyteTyger here. No worries, man.
If you'd like, could you send your new email address to steelkats@yahoo.com? I don't think I have it.
We're still working on DN:A, even though I haven't updated the website in a while.
