Do anyone now how to make that explosion that you see in E1L2 in duke3d? That where the building explodes? I know hos to make everything with the building and the keypad and all that but how do i make it so that when i press a button then i see a explotion? Does anyone know where to find a guide for that or can anyone tell me how to do it?

Create some seenines and a masterswitch with the same lotag as the switch. For the building, use SE 13s with angle set to down.

How does that afext the senines? If its only the masterswitch and the switch that have the same lotags?

Yes but btw make sure that the masterswitch is in the same sector than the seenines! (and the SE 13s are raised to ceiling)

And to make the effect better use some gpspeed sprites.

I may be a little late jumping in here but I think his question isn't so generic. That explosion has some nice art to it and it's all in the sprite placement and timing that makes those nice arcs. You can place the seenines any height off the ground up to the sector ceiling, and the hitag (I think, use a good Build FAQ) is the time delay from the triggering by whatever you use for a switch. So to get that dramatic effect, play with these items, and by all means, test, test, test! This, as all art forms, takes a lot of work and patience, it's not just gonna happen with a keystroke (but maybe you knew that!) But figure it out as you go, you'll have fun and it'll teach you something about the way computers really work, too. I wish you luck. images/icons/smile.gif
