Gotta say, just played the demo that was packed in the Jade Empire Limited Edition, and it was surprising to me. I never played the first, and always thought talk about the character and gameplay of the upcoming second was rubbish.
Looked dumb. Trash.
Played it. I was wrong. This game (demo) is fun as hell! Depending on reviews, I may pick it up. Fun, funny, GREAT looking. Very surprising. Looks good on my new tv, too. I love widescreen xbox games.

Dammit! http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif
This is the only game on the X-Box that appeals to me at all. And I loved Conker's bad fur day so much.
But I'm not buying an X-Box for this game alone. Maybe when the Xbox 360 comes out the price for the Xbox will drop.
Then I would buy it for Conker alone. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Cool! I got the demo, and it kicks as much ass as it ever did, and then some! Can't wait!

don't look at the xbox as a waste, it's a great system. You should pick this up. I got my xbox for one game: the xbox version of GTA3, but after that, I ended up sellin damn near all my ps2 games, and getting the xbox versions. I love custom soundtracks, and the graphics, loadin, and frame rate are way better than ps2 usually.

It's not that I see the X-Box as a waste, it's just that it never appealed to me.
IMHO all it's really good games are on the PC as well, and in better form. I hate the HALO series, and none of it's other original IP's have even gotten a second glance from me.
The only reason I'm interested in Conker is because of how much I loved the original on my N64. As it is I only use my PS2 for the GTA series and the Devil May Cry series.
Everything else is PC. I'm a PC gamer, and that's were I shall stay. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

me too. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif The game looks ok, but I hate only having 2 weapons. The story sux. All of the enemies remind me of Jar Jar Binks, and most of the blood is green or blue. The game stole many things from Quake 2 and Red Faction. I couldn't stand the save system either. I'd say the best fps on the xbox is Doom 3. I wish the 1st red faction was on xbox. If it was, it would be tied with doom 3 for me. Halo and Half Life are some of the most over rated shooters ever. The guy in half life looks like a nerdy version of Duke.

See, my point. All the great games are on PC as well. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

its hilarous, or to quote the angry cogwheel "fan f#%$§!g tastic"
I love the humor and all the movie references
its runs and looks great on the 360, if you missed this game like me you should go out and buy it immediately, you can get it very cheap already
(I paid 15, new & sealed) :)
Im only 3 hours into the game so far but Im already in love, I hope there will be a sequel :)

Jeeze.. I never realized Microsoft OWNED Rare... that puts a new bit of a spin on console history... taking into account that Rare was the only 3rd party who was doing ANYTHING noteworthy for the N64 back in the day.

microsoft didn't own rare untill a couple years back
Heh, Conker's Bad Fur Day was probably the 2nd best game on the N64. (Possibly first, I only say second behind Zelda:OOT.)

No love for Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Mario Kart or Smash Bros? This game is pretty funny but I wouldn't call it one of the best N64 games.

Kind of interesting that this is a lot of the same entertainment innovation that Duke brought to the FPS world.

Can someone explain what is so great about this game? Thanks.

The story, humor... everything. For a platformer it's awesome. The gameplay is very well done (on the N64, never played the Xbox remake), controls are great.
The story and humor is where the game shines though, tons of references to popular movies. It's vulgar, crude, violent and loaded with enough absurd shit to make almost anybody love it.

One of my favorite games. Have both versions, although the 64 version got lost at my friend's. It's there somewhere.

Great! Thank you! This seems to be exactly what I love about a game. :D
