Most Final Fantasy fans in the USA have started with this game, so they have a love for this game that blinds most of them from the truth. Those fans believe that this game has the best story, characters and replay value of all the other games in the series. Unfortunately, this has made Final Fantasy VII the most overrated Final Fantasy game.

it's also the worst FF game, the least entertaining, and so forth... What is wrong with this guy, hehe?

That game ruled - mot of the FF fanatics I have spoken to said that ff7 and ff8 were pretty much their favorites, but ff7 topped by far.

But I guess no two opinions are ever completely the same!

They gave the worst Final Fantasy award to VII and runner-up to FF VIII. Wtf? Those were the best two imo.

That getto, they only gave FF7 and FF8 bad ratings because they're futuristic. Seriously lame. All I know is that I've played FF6, FF7, FF8, FF9 and FF10, and I would rate FF6, FF8, FF10, FF9, FF7. Still Chrono Trigger is way better then all of them.

However I also love ff1,4,5,6,7, and 8. 9 was okay...but not the greatest. FFX overwhelmed me with movies and and too much forced storyline. I don't even want to try x-2... http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mryuck.gif

FFX-2 had the best combat system in an FF game ever. I can say that much. The game as a whole wasn't as good as FFX though.

keeping in mid that the games are being rated on an "at the time" system.

Personally i've only played the first game and love it to pieces.

Not at all. True, the basic mechanics were all turn based, but the pedantics were different.

That's the even stupider thing. He give's so many awards to FF8 I was expecting him to rate it second best, then he rates it as second worst. wtf? retard.
