The guy that gave you the Witchaven source code now has released the source code of Corridor 8: Galactic Wars (http://diehardwolfers.areyep.com/viewtopic.php?t=3095).
I was so hoping you where going to say it was the Blood sourcecode http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif.

Uh oh... included with the Corridor 8 source code is an old "uncensored" version of the Build Engine library. Like Capstone, I also borrowed art & sounds from Doom during development. When I released the Build source code myself, I made sure to replace all the copyright material that wasn't mine. Oh well. Personally, I have no problem with it. In addition to the borrowed media, you'll also find some more unreleased KenBuild maps.

Neat. I love old crap like this. Would be nice if the guy who coded it released it himself under the GPL or something though.. people are less likely to want to work with something if they don't know that they can even "legally" release what they've done. "Legally" is of course in quotes as Capstone isn't going to rise from the grave and sue someone, but that isn't the point.
Should this just be considered public domain?

Was this released? I had a Corridor 7 demo, but I never heard of this one.

He almost certainly wouldn't have the Blood source code, and he wouldn't have the right to release it if he did. He was obviously a Capstone guy and is releasing what they did.

When it comes to blood, I really don't give a damn what is legal anymore. I just want the damn source code by any damn means possible. Illegally obtained source code is really quite useless. Also, lay off the smilies.

Corridor 8 was supposed to be the sequel to Corridor 7, until it got cancelled because Capstone went bankrupt or something like that.

It is only useless if no one used it because of copyright laws. IMHO atari wouldn't go out and sue anybody if some one happened to have an illegal copy of the source, and made a windows port. I understand the moral objections to this way of thinking, and this is a useless thought as no one has obtained the blood souce code, legally or illegally, but I just hope that one day we can see a true windows port of this classic game.
