Where can I download the original Max Payne theme? Or, where is the Max Payne mp3 located in the Max Payne system files?

Finally, why didn't 3drealms think of putting the max payne soundtrack on a CD?!?!?

somewhere around ...\data\database\music\files after unpacking the X_Music.ras (MP1) or MP2_Music.ras (MP2).

Well, whoever is in charge of the music should've released a CD soundtrack for the original Max Payne!

How do I unpack the wav? Do I just use a regular unzip program?

Better yet, would someone be nice enough to post the wav file here so that I could download it?

BTW, as for that MP1 file of Payne's theme, I think that I did download it. It started off good, but then it just sounds awful. I'd rather have the original music from the game instead.

MP1/2 = Max Payne 1/2, not MPEG Layer-.

You extract the .ras files with one of the modding tools, RASMaker. For MP1, it's included in the CD. For MP2, go here: www.maxpayne2.com/mods (http://www.maxpayne2.com/mods)

they are in the program itself. you start it up in a command prompt, and follow the instructions.
