Some of you may remember the old band site, though I've been MIA for awhile 'round these parts. Anyhoo, I've recently redesigned the band website & would really like any comments/suggestions you guys may have. Like any site it'll always be a work in progress as I'm still adding content. Have a look & tell me what you think. Edges of Seven v3.0 (http://www.edgesofseven.com/)
I'll be changing the splash page somewhat....something aboot it is bugging me http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Even though I absolutely hate Flash based sites, that's pretty nifty. Off topic, but I still have the Eo7 promo disc you sent me about 5 years ago around here somewhere, as well as the first version of "Tell Me" you posted here (and the versions of Caged and Inside from the same time period).

Looks good man http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
One thing though.. get rid of the splash page. Just have the site go directly to the main page. Theres no need for a splash page and it just a waste of time.
Other then that everything looks good.
PS. I also have the promo disc still around here http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Hmm. I don't personally like it, rather trendy and could be done better. But it's easy to navigate, although all that graphical clutter could be distracting.
At the least I'd do an HTML version too. I can't test this on dial-up so I don't know if it's actually dial-up friendly Flash (rare) or not.

Way better than the last version. Much clearer navigation. I'd also recommend dropping the splash page, unless you feel morally obligated to have the parental advisory thing there before they see the rest of the site.
Not that you guys didn't sound good before, but you sound a lot better than I remember. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I really don't like those strobing ADD lights on the menu. Something softer, like a glowish thing would be much easier on the eyes.

Thanks for the comments guys, much appreciated. Yeah there are a few things I might change yet, but I'm not sure what'll go & what'll stay. "ADD lights" hehe, I like that! http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dopefish.gif
I always tend to go a little over the top with my designs, as long as it's easy to navigate. I'm still up in the air about the splash page. I studied alot of band websites & stole alot of ideas, plus, I learned some new stuff in flash that I wanted to do. Keep the suggestions coming, I take everything into consideration http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

This site seems much easier to navigate than the last version. I gotta say, I'm not a fan of your genre, but I do like your music. Glad to see Eo7 are still going. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif More than anything, I think you are succeeding at appealing to people who like cool music but aren't obsessed with just one type of take on song.

...no splash page, make the scrolling news ticker be able to reverse scroll with mouse pointer, make the links at top more visible (a different color or something)... took me a second to even see them. (I was looking for the women I knew were there)
Good job, tho... http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
