Burnout 3

I just picked this up for the dirt cheap price of 20 bucks. I played the demo and was pretty impressed. Normally I don't like racers that much, but occassionally I'll pick up a good arcade racer if it's cheap. This game is pretty damn good. I like the crashes, and the nitro. It's a million times better than Project Gotham 2 which I hated with a passion.

I'm also thinking of getting Outrun 2, anyone have it? Is it any good?

Congrats. From what I've heard Outrun 2 is more of a rental than a purchase.

Burnout 3 is a great game. The only thing crappy about it was the online implementation (on Xbox Live anyway). That sucked big time. The single player portion is more than worth the cost of the game though, especially if you got it for $20. Enjoy!

Burnout 3 is an absolute masterpiece of game racing, and it's plainly a whole lot of fun. It has over-the-top car crashes, extremely responsive controls, and an incredible sense of speed I had never seen in a racing game before. I absolutely love it. I'd get an Xbox only for that game. Considering I usually hate racing games and I totally loathe the Xbox, I think it says a lot about how great this game is.

outrun 2 is really cool....if you're a fan of the previous games then i highly recommend buying the new one....i personally think it's worth every penny and if you're a patient gamer then you'll slowly get through the mission mode which is almost impossible http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

but yeah it has a great soundtrack (better than burnout 3 sound which i thought sucked) and has the feel of the original http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
